Lloyd Denzil Posey, 79, of Weston, died Sunday, Mar. 23, 1997, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born in Braxton County, a son of the late Lloyd and Maggie Clark Posey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from B&O Railroad after 37 years of service. He was a Methodist.
Surviving are his wife, Goldie Belt Posey of Weston; two daughters, Carol Johnson of Grantsville and Bonnie Griffith of Drotwood, Ohio; one son, Frank Posey of Dayton; two brothers, Robert Posey of Weston and Herbert Posey of Warren, Ohio; one sister, Edna Riffle of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett Posey, Paul Posey and Nelson Posey; and one infant sister.
Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston, with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial was in Peterson Cemetery.
